Involve Health Hub Psychologists offer a range of psychoeducational assessments, neurodivergent affirming assessments and other assessments and reports.

Psychoeducational assessment

Involve Health Hub Psychologists offer a range of assessments for children (6+ years) and adolescents for a variety of concerns and presentations, including:

  • ADHD

  • Specific learning disorder (e.g., dyslexia or dyscalculia)

  • Intellectual disability

  • Giftedness

  • General learning difficulties or academic concerns

  • General cognitive ability

  • General executive functioning challenges (attention, concentration, memory, organisation etc)

  • General adaptive functioning challenges (coping with everyday life demands)

What does a psychoeducational assessment involve?

Initially, an assessment involves parent or guardian attendance at an intake session with the psychologist to obtain detailed information regarding the presenting issues, developmental history and school performance. Following the intake, your psychologist will determine appropriate assessment measures. After the completion of all assessments, a feedback session will be scheduled to provide the results and a report. This feedback session takes place approximately 4-6 weeks after the completion of assessment measures.

Fees are dependent based on the type of assessment required. Please contact us for further guidance and support around assessments.

Neurodivergent Affirming assessment

Involve Health Hub Psychologists offer neurodivergent affirming assessments for adults (aged 17+) who suspect they may have ADHD, Autism, or a combination of these.

These assessments are designed to be brief and accessible for the neurodivergent community. These assessments are available via telehealth or in person.

What does a neurodivergent affirming assessment involve?

A neurodivergent affirming assessment uses a supportive strengths-based approach, focusing on empowerment. It uses assessment tools that are neurodivergent affirming and designed to capture the individual experiences of a person. Once your appointment has been booked, a questionnaire will be emailed out to you to gather background information regarding your history and lived experience. This is then followed by at least one session (in person or by telehealth) with a Psychologist to complete a clinical interview which helps in further exploring and understanding your lived experience. Following this session, your Psychologist will email you further assessment measures to complete in your own time. After the completion of all assessments, a feedback session will be scheduled to provide the results and a brief report will be provided. This feedback session takes place approximately 4-6 weeks after the completion of assessment measures. Ages may be negotiable.
