Imogene has particular interests in daily living skills, executive functioning, fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, emotional regulation, and supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and families.
About Imogene
Imogene is an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, and their families to participate in meaningful everyday activities and thrive across all areas of their lives. She enjoys working collaboratively with clients and their families to support them in achieving their goals and building confidence in their skills.
Imogene takes a holistic approach to therapy, considering the broader needs of each person and aiming to create sessions that feel engaging, creative, and practical. Imogene values helping clients feel comfortable while developing new skills and working toward greater confidence and independence.
Her approach is client-centred and evidence-based to support clients to work towards their goals. These may include developing play, fine motor, gross motor, executive functioning, handwriting, and social skills, including theory of mind, as well as self-care and daily living skills such as dressing, toileting, cooking, using cutlery, and building independence in everyday routines.
Imogene has previous experience working in not-for-profit and private practice settings with children in the early intervention space and with neurodivergent individuals, including Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Deaf and Hard of Hearing profiles. She has also completed Certificate II and Certificate III in Auslan, supporting her ability to communicate with and better support Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and their families.
