Psychology & Counselling support

We know that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable. The quality of the relationship matters, and so does feeling that the support you receive is respectful, thoughtful, and suited to your needs.
At Involve, our psychologists work collaboratively with children, young people, adults, and families with support tailored to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
We take the time to understand the person in front of us, not just the problem they are presenting with.

When psychology and counselling may be helpful

Emotional wellbeing

Support with anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, overwhelm, burnout, or emotions that feel hard to manage

Trauma and difficult experiences

Support after trauma, grief, family change, or other difficult experiences that continue to affect behaviour, relationships, or a sense of safety

Body image, eating, and self-worth

Support with disordered eating, body image concerns, self-worth, and the emotional challenges that can be connected to these experiences

Health, pain, and adjustment

Support with adjustment to illness or injury, chronic health conditions, pain, fatigue, and the emotional impact these experiences can have on daily life, identity, relationships, and coping

Life transitions and identity

Support through school transitions, adolescence, change, confidence, self-esteem, and times when life feels unsettled

Big feelings and regulation

Support when children or young people are having worries, meltdowns, shutdowns, or difficulty managing big emotions

Relationships and family life

Support with friendships, attachment, relationship difficulties, parenting stress, family dynamics, and challenges at home, work, or school

Neurodivergence and self-understanding

Support around neurodivergence, identity, emotional regulation, and understanding yourself or your child in a more affirming way

Therapy can take different shapes depending on what is needed.

Support is always shaped around the individual, rather than a single pathway or assumption.

What therapy can look like

A space to pause, make sense of what is happening, and feel supported through change, distress, or uncertainty. It might involve building practical strategies, understanding patterns in thoughts, feelings, or relationships, processing difficult experiences, or developing new ways of coping and responding.

For children and young people, therapy may also involve play, creative approaches, parent support, or working with the important adults around them.

Individual therapy

Support for parents and carers navigating their child or adolescent’s emotional, behavioural, developmental, or relational needs.

This may include making sense of what is happening, thinking together about patterns at home or school, strengthening confidence in how to respond, and developing practical ways to support regulation, connection, and emotional wellbeing.

Parenting support

Structured support in a shared space, designed around connection, reflection, learning, and practical strategies. Groups can offer the value of being alongside others with shared experiences, helping people feel less alone while building confidence, insight, and new ways of coping.

Depending on the group, this may involve emotional regulation, social connection, self-understanding, shared reflection, or learning practical tools.

Group Therapy

Our team brings together thoughtful, neurodiversity-affirming psychologists with diverse experience, interests, and way of working. We work collaboratively and take care to connect each person with the psychologist who feels like the right fit, with support that is respectful, tailored, and grounded in safe therapeutic relationships.
