Works with older children, adolescents, and adults, with interests in trauma, emotional dysregulation, attachment, eating disorders, and longer-term therapeutic work, and affirming support for LGBTQIA+ clients. She also offers EMDR therapy, adult Autism and ADHD assessment.
Gail’s approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and neurodiversity-affirming, and she is a Psychology Board of Australia Accredited Supervisor for 4+2, 5+1, higher degree, and Clinical Registrar training pathways.
About Gail
Gail is a committed and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working with individuals to enact meaningful changes in their lives. Gail works with older children, adolescents and adults with a range of mental health problems.
Gail’s particular interest is working longer term with individuals experiencing complex presentations including personality vulnerabilities, emotional dysregulation, self harm and suicidal ideation, eating disorders and trauma related difficulties. Gail also treats general mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, stress and interpersonal difficulties.
Gail practices from a trauma informed, attachment based perspective and incorporates CBT, DBT, EMDR, Schema Therapy and Ego State Therapy approaches to develop treatment plans tailored to her client’s needs. Gail’s primary focus is building a safe and containing space through which to allow clients to build their understanding of themselves, their nuances, difficulties and to develop more adaptive ways of coping.
Gail enjoys working with neurodivergent individuals from a neurodiversity affirming approach to build their self understanding, self acceptance and self advocacy.
Gail is a Psychology Board of Australia Accredited Supervisor for 4+2, 5+1, higher degree and Clinical Registrar training pathways.
