Gemma has particular interests in neurodivergence, attachment, perinatal mental health, anxiety, stress, trauma, emotional regulation, and relationship difficulties.

About Gemma

Gemma is a Registered Psychologist who works with children, adolescents and adults. She is dedicated to hearing her client’s stories and helping them develop deeper self-understanding in the context of their lived experience. Gemma uses CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT and Schema Therapy approaches to offer her clients an integrative, holistic and co-creative approach to mental wellness. Her practice is trauma informed, reflective, collaborative and goal orientated.

Gemma has experience providing support to children, adolescents and adults experiencing general to complex mental health concerns as well as life stressors such as adjustments and relational challenges. Gemma has a particular interest in how family of origin dynamics impact relational and behavioural patterns, including the impacts of trauma and attachment difficulties. Her interest areas also extend to perinatal mental health, depression, stress, anxiety, trauma and attachment.

Her approach to practice is neurodiversity affirming with a special interest in working with neurodivergent clients, wishing to understand their identity from a strengths-based perspective.
