The Next Step - Self & Energy Module
The Next Step: Adulting Skills Program
The Next Step is an ongoing small-group OT program for young people aged 17 to 23 who are finding everyday life, routines, motivation, organisation, or independence overwhelming.
The program is delivered in 6-week blocks, with each block focusing on a different area of adulting and independence. Participants can join one block or continue through multiple blocks over time, depending on their goals and needs.
Next available focus area: Self & Energy
This block supports young people to better understand themselves, their sensory needs, signs of overwhelm, energy levels, regulation strategies, and realistic routines.
Day/time: Thursdays, 1:30pm to 3:30pm
Starts: Thursday 9 July 2026
Location: Involve Health Hub, Aspley
Format: Face-to-face
Group size: Maximum of 4 participants
Growing Through It
A small therapeutic group for girls aged 12–14 years. This is a warm, ACT-informed group designed to help young people build practical coping skills around friendships, family pressures, self-esteem, school stress, anxiety, low mood, and overwhelming emotions.
Team Play: Skills in Action
A 4-week games-based social and emotional skills group for children aged 5–7 years. This group is designed to support emotion regulation, social connection, and coping skills that support school and home life.
